Pontor Terms of Service
Last updated: June 13, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Recordo, LLC (“Recordo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company based in the Republic of Armenia, and they govern your use of Pontor — our vendor search and procurement service, including our website and web application (the “Service”).
Please read these Terms carefully. By using Pontor, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
We’ve written these in plain language, but they are still a binding contract.
1. What Pontor is
Pontor helps you describe a vendor or service you need, then finds and organizes information about businesses that might fit. We pull that information from third-party search and data sources and use automated tools, including AI, to interpret your request and structure the results. Pontor also contacts vendors on your behalf, collects and compares quotes, and helps you negotiate.
Pontor is a procurement assistant. When Pontor contacts or negotiates with vendors for you, it acts as your agent only within the scope and limits you set — see Appendix A. Even then, we are not a party to any contract between you and a vendor, and we don’t endorse or guarantee any vendor. Any contract, payment, or relationship you enter into with a vendor is strictly between you and that vendor.
2. Who can use Pontor
You may use Pontor only if you:
- are at least 18 years old;
- can form a binding contract with us; and
- are using Pontor for business or professional purposes, in compliance with applicable law.
If you use Pontor on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm you’re authorized to accept these Terms for it, and “you” includes that organization.
3. Accounts
You can run a limited search without an account. To save searches, see more results, and use additional features, you create a free account using an email and password or Google sign-in.
You agree to:
- give accurate account information and keep it current;
- keep your login credentials confidential;
- be responsible for everything that happens under your account; and
- tell us promptly at contact@pontor.io if you suspect unauthorized use.
We may refuse, suspend, or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or others.
4. Acceptable use
When using Pontor, you agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-extract data from the Service, or use bots or automated means except as we expressly permit;
- circumvent, disable, or interfere with security, rate limits, bot protection (such as Turnstile), or access controls;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its results without our written permission;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying models of the Service, except where the law expressly allows;
- submit content that is false, misleading, infringing, defamatory, or that contains malware;
- submit, generate, approve, or send content that is sexually explicit, pornographic, obscene, abusive, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate for a professional procurement service;
- use the Service to send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, promotional campaigns, affiliate offers, recruiting messages, fundraising messages, or other outreach unrelated to a specific procurement need;
- use the Service for phishing, credential collection, payment scams, malware distribution, suspicious links, or other fraudulent or harmful activity;
- misrepresent your identity, your relationship with a vendor, the urgency of a request, or Pontor’s vetting, certification, endorsement, or guarantee of any vendor; or
- place an unreasonable load on our systems or those of our providers.
We may investigate and take appropriate action against violations, including refusing to send or display content, rate-limiting usage, suspending or closing accounts, blocking future access, preserving records for audit, and cooperating with law enforcement or service providers where appropriate.
5. Your searches and content
You keep ownership of the search descriptions and other content you submit (“Your Content”). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and transmit it as needed to operate and improve the Service — including sending your search terms to the third-party search and AI providers that generate your results (see our Privacy Policy).
You’re responsible for Your Content. Please don’t include personal data about other people, confidential information, or anything sensitive in your search descriptions — there’s no need to, and Pontor isn’t designed for it.
6. Vendor information and results — important disclaimers
- We don’t guarantee accuracy. Vendor and business information shown in Pontor comes from third-party sources and automated processing. It may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Always verify details (such as licensing, pricing, availability, and contact information) directly with the vendor before relying on them.
- Automated and AI-generated results. Pontor uses automated tools and AI to interpret requests and summarize results. These can make mistakes, miss things, or produce inaccurate summaries. Treat results as a starting point, not professional advice or a definitive answer.
- No endorsement. Inclusion of a vendor in results is not an endorsement, recommendation, or warranty about that vendor.
- Your decisions are yours. You’re responsible for evaluating vendors and for any decision or transaction you make based on information from Pontor.
7. Fees
Pontor currently offers free accounts. We may introduce paid features or plans in the future. If we do, we’ll make the pricing and terms clear before you’re charged, and we won’t start charging you for something that’s currently free without giving you notice and a chance to decline.
8. Intellectual property
The Service — including its software, design, text, branding, and the way results are organized — is owned by Recordo or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
“Pontor” and our logos are our trademarks. You may not use them without our permission.
9. Third-party services and links
Pontor relies on and links to third-party services and websites (for example, hosting, authentication, analytics, search providers, AI providers, and the vendors shown in results). We don’t control those third parties and aren’t responsible for their content, accuracy, products, or practices. Your dealings with them are governed by their own terms and policies.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data, including our use of cookies and analytics. By using Pontor, you acknowledge that we process data as described there.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that results will be accurate, complete, or meet your needs.
Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you. Where the law gives you mandatory rights that can’t be excluded, nothing here limits them.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
- We won’t be liable for the acts, omissions, accuracy, products, or services of any vendor or third party found through or linked from Pontor.
- Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law (for example, for fraud or, where applicable, death or personal injury caused by negligence).
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Recordo and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms or any law, or your dealings with vendors.
14. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Pontor at any time and delete your account from your account settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we reasonably need to protect the Service or other users. We may also discontinue the Service, or any part of it, with reasonable notice where practical.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will continue to apply.
15. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to the Terms, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and give reasonable notice where appropriate. If you keep using Pontor after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don’t agree, please stop using the Service and delete your account.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
You and we agree that the courts of the Republic of Armenia have jurisdiction to resolve any dispute, unless mandatory law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts — in which case that right is preserved.
We encourage you to contact us first at contact@pontor.io so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
17. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any prior agreements on the subject.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. If we don’t enforce a right, that’s not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign ours, for example as part of a merger or sale.
- Force majeure. We’re not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Notices. We may give you notices by email or through the Service. You can reach us at contact@pontor.io.

Appendix A — Vendor outreach and negotiation
Pontor goes beyond search: it contacts vendors on your behalf, collects and compares quotes, and supports negotiation. When you use these features, the following terms apply in addition to the rest of these Terms.
A.1 You authorize us (agency and scope). When you ask Pontor to contact or negotiate with vendors, you authorize us to send communications and conduct negotiations on your behalf, within the scope and limits you set (such as budget, target vendors, and instructions). You can change or withdraw that authorization at any time; it applies going forward.
A.2 No binding commitments without your approval. Pontor will not enter into a contract or make a binding commitment on your behalf unless you expressly approve it. Quotes we collect and messages we exchange with vendors are not binding offers or acceptances by you unless and until you confirm them.
A.3 Communications and AI. Outreach and negotiation messages may be drafted and sent using automated tools, including AI, which can make mistakes. Where we ask you to review or approve a message or a deal before it goes out or is accepted, you’re responsible for doing so. We’re not liable for AI-generated content you approve, or for a vendor’s reliance on communications you authorized.
A.4 Lawful outreach. You confirm that the outreach you ask us to perform is for legitimate business purposes and complies with applicable communications laws (including anti-spam and telemarketing rules). You may use outreach features only for genuine RFQ, quote collection, scheduling, follow-up, negotiation, or procurement clarification related to a current vendor need. You may not use Pontor as a marketing, lead-generation, list-blasting, affiliate, recruiting, fundraising, or promotional messaging tool. We may build in sender identification, opt-out handling, content review, safety classification, suppression lists, and frequency limits to support compliance, and we may decline, block, or stop outreach that we believe is unlawful, abusive, spam-like, unsafe, misleading, or likely to harm Pontor, vendors, users, or our sending reputation.
A.5 Quotes and procurement data. We may store the vendor quotes, responses, and outcomes generated through your use of these features, and we may use aggregated and de-identified information to operate and improve the Service and to build pricing and reliability benchmarks. We won’t publish your confidential negotiation details in a form that identifies you or your business.
A.6 Fees. Some outreach or negotiation features may be paid or commission-based. Section 7 applies, and we’ll make any pricing clear before you’re charged.
